Powerful Video on Incarcerated Immigrants

by midwestpagestop...
The Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition (CAIR Coalition), a Washington, DC-based coalition that provides legal support and advocacy for immigrant communities.  They recently released this video that shares the voices and stories of legal immigrants who have been incarcerated and are pending deportation due to strict laws regarding immigration and "crime".  The last story in this brief video is particularly crushing as it profiles a woman with no criminal record being seperated from her husband and young son.  This video challenges us to define our notion of who is an American, what constitutes crime, and the devestating effect impact that incarceration has on families.
